Off the Treacherous Track

Only half a cycle into traversing Ravilo City's underbelly and Dr. Eliza Hetaheart already finds herself worse for wear. Straining to keep her head researcher commitments to Millennium Heart whilst following the thrill of her apprenticeship with the Nobias Detective Agency. It doesn't help that her mentor, Detective Dazon Nobias, tends to get them into the most precarious situations she could imagine.

That trend seems to follow into her very first case as an official Magistry detective, where the duo find themselves as bodyguards to a soon-to-be aristocrat. One who thrives to make a difference in their crime-ridden capital. A sentiment that Ravilo’s illustrious crime families don't particularly find amusing. Especially when the future crat has plans to target one of their most lucrative ventures.

Just when Eliza and Dazon thought themselves finally in the clear, however, a murderer strikes en route to their charge’s coronation. A poisoning from out of the blue, among a cohort of fellow aristocrats with no clear motive for the man’s death. Though, the biggest question lies in…when exactly was he poisoned?

Desperate to find what they've overlooked, Eliza and Dazon must work to uncover the mystery of the aristocrat's demise. All the while, their killer proves capable of going to extreme lengths to cover their tracks.
